First International AACE – Gulf Conference

on Diabetes, Obesity and other Endocrine Disease

Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA) in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and American Association of Clinical endocrinologists (AACE), hold the “First International AACE – Gulf Conference on Diabetes, Obesity and other Endocrine Disease” under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned, chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, at Sheraton Hotel, January 14 – 16 2011.

The conference, which is the first AACE confernce outside of the United States, bring together international and local expertise to diabetes management and endocrinology and serve as better practice sharing for enhance diabetes and cardiovascular in the Gulf region.

The 1st Conference of DASG

The 1st Conference of DASG was held in Kathmandu in the year 2008. The theme of the conference “Implementation of Primary Prevention Strategies for Type 2 Diabetes” is timely and pertinent considering the epidemic proportions that diabetes has assumed in the world, particularly in the Asian Countries.
